Profile: Dan has been involved with the Surrey Branch committee for a number of years and is currently Branch Chairman. This office also grants the holder a seat on the Regional Board of the South East Regional Board of the CIM which incorporates branches from Thames Valley, Wessex, Sussex, Croydon and Kent.
Having started his career within the grocery trade with Scott Ltd (now Kimberley Clark), Dan was drawn into the drinks business and has held a number of sales and marketing positions with Courage (now Scottish & Newcastle) and also Young’s Brewery where he headed up the On-Trade National Accounts team looking after Multiple Pub Groups and Brewers during a very dynamic period for Young’s. This was followed by a number of years as a Business Development Manager managing a diverse range of Young’s leased and tenanted pubs in London and across the West Country. Having left Young’s in the Spring of 2007, Dan is currently working as marketing consultant for a sales promotion agency in London.
Dan read Commerce (2.1 Hons) at University College Cork, majoring in Management and Marketing. As well as studying for the DipM, he has also achieved an MSc in Business Economics at Kingston University.
