Profile: Gary has spent most of his commercial career with Shell. He has held positions in marketing, sales, finance, personnel, change management and network planning.
His appointments immediately prior to leaving in 1999 had been as UK Franchise Manager with responsibility for the launch and development of the Select convenience stores and Aqua Valet car washes at Shell's service stations in the UK, and as manager of the retail CRM and loyalty programmes. In the latter role he was accountable for the development, launch, operation and expansion of a major loyalty programme with partners in the UK as well as initiating its launch with other Shell companies in Europe.
After leaving Shell, Gary established Anderton Marketing Solutions, where he has been advising and working with companies in the UK, USA, Caribbean and Central America to develop customer loyalty programmes, to launch retail franchise programmes, and implement change management projects.
